Nir Evron and Orit Raff in Dialogue


In conjunction with Nir Evron’s exhibition Endurance and Orit Raff’s exhibition Priming, the artists will be in dialogue at LA><ART to discuss their artistic interests and exhibiting work. This program will be immediately followed by the opening reception for the artists’ exhibitions.

Press Release

Nir Evron is an artist and filmmaker based in Tel Aviv, Israel. He has shown extensively in biennales, festivals, galleries and museums, including the 19th Biennale of Sydney (2014), The Israel Museum (2014), The International Center for Photography Triennial, New York (2013), The Maison Européene de la Photographie, Paris (2012), The Tel Aviv Center for Contemporary Art (2011) and the 6th Berlin Biennale (2010). In 2015 the artist will present a solo exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Evron is represented by Chelouche Gallery in Tel Aviv.

 
Orit Raff attended Bezalel Academy for Arts and Design in Jerusalem, graduated cum laude from the School of Visual Arts in New York, and participated in the Independent Study Program of the Whitney Museum of American Art from 1998-1999. In 2003, she completed an MFA at Bard College. Raff's work has been exhibited widely in Europe, Israel, and the United States in solo exhibitions such as; “Priming,” The Tel-Aviv Museum of Art in 2013, “Insatiable,” Cutting Edge Project at ARCO’03, Madrid in 2003 and “Dynamic Equilibrium,” SITE Santa Fe Satellite exhibition in 2002. Recent Group exhibitions include “Videosphere: A New Generation” at the Albright-Knox, Buffalo, NY in 2011, “True North” at the Deutsche Guggenheim, Berlin in 2008, “Glasskultur: What became of Transparence?”, Centre d'Art la Panera and Koldo Mitxelena Museum, Spain in 2006. The artist is represented by Julie Saul Gallery, New York.
