Sanya Kantarovsky was born in Moscow, Russia and lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He recently received his MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles has attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture Residency and got his BA from Rhode Island School of Design. He has had numerous solo exhibitions: Blue Notebook № 10 at Marc Foxx, Los Angeles (2012), Mutualisms at AMT Gallery Milan, Italy (2009), and Simple Past at BW Space, Berlin (2008). His recent group exhibitions include Phases, co-curated by Wallspace and Kelly Taxter at Wallspace, New York (2012), Next Season at Marc Foxx, Los Angeles (2011) and Lost and Found at the New Museum (2009), Dear Dilettante (Solo) Tanya Leighton, Berlin (2012),  Things Words and Consequences, Moscow Museum of Modern Art (2012).
